And he says he cares... starzluv: when he moved out he still claimed to care about me and the kids. how can he say that and be so stupid? i asked him to come over and at least put up the storm windows, and when he left today, he didn't do it. everytime i ask him to do something that is not just for me but for the kids he can't seem to do it. he never listens to me. when he moved out he desided to cancel the oil contract thinking we would be out of the house before winter hit. i told him he needed to wait till we actually moved since we didn't know when i was moving and so what happens last night the heat went out cuz there is no oil left in the tank. i call him and he tells me he will bring me over a space heater till we can figure out how to come up with the $725 it will cost to fill the damn thing. ok fine except this morning when he finally shows up we go to LOWES to get the space heaters, and guess who ended up paying for them. sure wasn't him. and then of course stupid me agrees to pay his rentway bill. don't ask why cuz i still can't figure out how that happened since i remember telling him no.and his tool box got stollen so what do i do? buy him new tools today so that he can work on my car for me but then we find out that my car needs new stuts and not shocks, and the struts are going to cost me about $150 so now i don't have enough till next friday to get them and by then i will need to get the back tires replaced so again next week i am going to be broke again. and of course we all know i will never see the money back that i used to pay his bill and get him the tools. so now tonight i have 1 space heater in my room hoping to get it warm enough for me and 3 kids to sleep in, 1 space heater here in the living rooom trying to keep it warm enough not to freeze me, and since my kitchen is open to the living room, i have the oven turned on at the highest temp. and i finally got the front of the house up to 66 degrees which is not warm enough for 3 kids who are use to Arizona heat. and i sit here wondering WHY i STILL love the idiot. me and his kids are here in a cold house basically because of him, and he's at the place he's living as warm as can be. he's suck a jerk.

Re: And he says he cares... starzluv: i didn't leave the oven on i promise. we ended up taking 1 of the space heaters in my room last night and closed the door so the room got nice and warm. today i'm going to call the oil company and see if the are going to reinstate our contract or if they are going to make me open a new account which means comming up with a $400 deposit. for now the space heaters are doing ok for at night. hopefully they will reinstate, and we will have the heater going before it gets too cold for the space heaters to work. i should know soomething by this after noon i hope.

I am sorry but he's walking all over you and me being a doormat, I know what I am talking about!
I know i'ts easy to sit on the outside and tell someone else what to do, but you need to get something moving in the direction of him being responsible, at least financailly, for those kids and for you!

This just sucks for you and your kids! I just cant believe that people can be so self absorbed. A space heater is just not going to cut it and you should not have to keep your oven on just to keep warm. I wish I had more to say but this just makes me angry. He needs to think of his kids at least. I really hope you can get the contract reinstated. I am not one to just tell perfect strangers of my situation but maybe just tell the oil company what happend companys do have the ability to make exceptions. I know that because I work for a very large bank and we do make exceptions for people who find themselves in a tough spot. Let us know what happens. I will be thinking of you!
