By the way, my son mentioned our "new" tree to the stbx and he wanted to know how I had the money. (I charged it, but he would never suspect that because I am tight about "obligating future income". I usually only do that in an emergency. I think this time of my life qualifies...) Meanwhile, he is so confused. He got me on the phone (through son--ugghhh, but this time I didn't mind so much) and kept asking and asking how I bought the tree. I never answered him. ("at the store"..."I paid for it and they gave it to me"..."How does anyone get a tree?"...)
