How long can a mediation with lawyers take?!? Suddenly Single: I'm dying here. My bf is in a mediation with his ex and their lawyers.....it has been going on now for 3 hours.

She is irrational and petty. Even her lawyer got annoyed with her. The things that they had to talk about with a lawyer? COME ON...most NORMAL - HEALTHY - WELL ADJUSTED people could do this without having to pay so much...she is such a fool......she is like the longest running joke! We do get a kick out of it...we laugh and laugh!!
OK some of the topics.....
She wanted drop offs and picks ups to be at the local supermarket. Lawyers say DUMB. So they have in the papers now to drop off at each others house and no one is allowed to exit vehicle.
She routinely sends kids in clothes that have holes, too short , or too small. She says he buys the kids tacky clothes....the funny thing is wearing clothes that are too small and have holes in it....that isn't tacky? LOL - what a fool. What kind of mother puts her children in clothes that don't fit...just so her ex doesn't have them? ok...whatever.....So they have in their papers that they need to put the clothes they were over in a bag and return it when they go home. oh boy. Oh yeah...and since when is it a smart idea to spends tons of money on clothes that the kids will wear for ONE season because they are growing? Yeah - STUPID...hee hee.
Oh yeah...phone calls....she wanted to limit how much time the kids can talk to them on the phone....so the kids only have 5 minutes each to talk to either of them. Nice mom huh? I understand having a reasonable limit to not infringe on parenting time but this nut job will TIME them.
OK - so I"m going to stop with the stupidity now....
That is just the highlights of what a wonderful mom these lucky children have....did you see the consistent theme where she was making decisions based on THEM? concerned about how they feel?

Re: How long can a mediation with lawyers take?!? Lumpy: The 5 minute phone rule is deplorable. I never would have agreed to that. I don't get parents who demand visitation rules that have nothing to do with the best interests of the children and everything to do with control. It's really sad.
