Stability
.

Stability TrueBlue: A little background: I live in a differnet country and am on a visa dependent upon my spouse.

I went my boss to discuss some of these issues and to ask if I can stay on a work visa. My husband is willing to help out with visas and not divorce me until next year - the epitome of humanity you know  ;). My boss said he thought it would be fairly easy to get my work visa, he'll double check. And, that he thought an apartment would be opening up in the spring that I could apply for and probably move in! I am so relieved. If I stay for a year or two, I could save a lot of money - my husband sort of sucks me dry. My boys can get a little more time with their grandmother here - she won't probably live much longer, and I could move back to the US and not worry about house payments, car payments, student loans etc with my two boys! In other words, I could move home without a lot of debt hanging over my head (some, but not a lot).

Hurray!!  ;D

Re: Stability sheydp: Congratulations!!!  That visa stuff is a pain in the behind - have watched the process a few times... whew.  I am so glad you will have independence from the ex to live and work and BE where you want to be - including financially!!!  Congratulations!

Re: Stability TrueBlue: Thanks Shey,

I am so relieved I can't express it fully. I know I could have gone back this summer and been okay, but I would have had to rely on family a bit, and I hate doing that.

It means a lot to have a place like this to share it! Thanks for the support!
