dazed and confused JRP: Well I'm new here I thought I could get some different points of view on my situation. Here it goes, My husband came home from over seas 2 years ago he was very distant and wouldn't talk which I don't understand he was in qatar providing security at an R&R base so I didn't and still don't understand why he shut everyone out. For the past 2 years I would try to get him to let me in and when he didn't I was hurt and became defensive at times. I kept trying to get him to open up with no luck. About 5 weeks ago he told me that he has never loved me the way a husband should his wife but he thought that in time those feelings would come. We've been married for 13 years and have 3 kids. I felt like he tore my heart out and still do. I told him I wanted to work on our marriage and all he keeps saying is he's afraid it's already to late to fix it. Well he moved out 5 days ago and won't say if he wants out or want to fix it. He just told me to go out and live alittle and have fun with my friends. He needs time alone. I'm just not sure what the heck I'm supposed to feel, think or do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and he refuses to go to talk to anyone.
Re: dazed and confused flyaway: Oh JRP! :( I'm so sorry for the pain and hurt you're experiencing now...there is nothing that I can say that would truly help, but know that I have been there. Yeah. our stories are not identical, but the pain is. And this is a very harsh reality.
If I could say one thing, it's this: don't give up. keep working on you and try to figure out how to deal, if for nothing else than your own sanity. Those precious children of yours need you.....so if you have to.....throw yourself into keeping up a routine for them....that'll help you survive the worst of it.....It helped me.

Re: dazed and confused bry911928: Yes, Welcome to OJAR. Keep your chin up and work towards fixing things. Trust me if is easier to fix than to toss in the trash and start over. Keep us up to date on what is going on and ask questions, we are here for each other.
