How to take it slow??? PROFKLUMP: Ok so I went on a lunch date late last week. We had sent a couple text messages back & forth saying we should meet up. Last night she asked me if I wanted to meet up, I was totally up for it. We met had a few drinks closed down the restaurant from talking I walked to her car and a small kiss on the lips. I sent her another text thanking her for tonight and look forward in seeing her again. She said same here... So this approach is really different than I am used to. Normally 1st -2nd dates after a couple of drinks I usually end up taking them home with me. Prior to my other post of the girl I am trying to get over. So is this a good sign that we haven't shagged yet? Did I finally meet a nice innocent girl? Or is she not into me as much? I am not sure how to not jump right into what I am used to. STRANGE... How often do I call her, I feel like I have never dated before....

especially since I am a physically responsive person, but I REALLY want to take things slow and get to know someone thoroughly - especially since physical closeness ends up closing off other options... when you figure this out, let me know, ok?

You sound like I did when I was first dating W. I was freaked out, not sure how to handle the whole thing, not sure if I should call or leave it to him.
Here is my question to you, Did it feel like she was a little cold to you? Usually a woman, if she is not interested will put out the signal that she is not, even though she may not say it out loud.
If you went off mine and W first date, I would have LAUGHED MY A$$ off had you told me that I would be dating him a month later. ;)

Re: How to take it slow??? C-Note: She likes you dude. Making it to date number 2 should tell ya that much. You are good to be cautious though. Right about now she's thinking the same thing you are. "Is he for real? Could this be the one?".
Sad to say I have no advice for ya at this point. My gut feeling tells me you should build up a little more anticipation. Leave her wanting more just a couple weeks before you make that move. If you can hold out that long. ;D
