Meeting the FAMILY!!! Trillian: ;D
Ok so I have been officially dating someone for a little over a month. We talked for about 3 weeks before our first date. Well today is my baby's SEVENTH birthday. So we are having a family party tonight for her. Well...so I decided that this would be as good of time as any for HIM to meet MY FAMILY. Since I have already met his brother and sister-in-law (that live in this state, his mom and dad live back east and his other brother is in colorado...). I invited him to come to the party. Well last night, I got this bright idea to invite my mom and him early for dinner. So now, my mom is picking me up from work (I usually ride the bus) and we are having pizza (which he is buying) at my house right after I get home.
I am freaking out here. Out of all the people that I have dated, I have only introduced 2 others to my mom. Out of those 2 only one has gone further then that....and I guess we all know how that ended. Why am I freaking? Well I am falling hard for this guy, and I want my family to love him like I do. I know that my kids like him, my baby asked for a special birthday present...she wants a picture of her, me, my oldest daughter and him alone, together. Which totally filled my heart to full with love for all of them.
This man, he completes me. He makes me happy, he makes me laugh. He loves my kids like they were his own. I just hope that my family doesn't screw this up for me...

I'm sure everything will be all right, you will have a great time and tomorrow you will be here telling us a happy story again. I'm glad you found someone who completes you.

The last time that my family met a guy I was dating, before I got remarried, he broke up with me the week after he met them. My family is always teasing me that a man will not break up with me after he meets the kids, it is after he meets the rest of the family that he will freak out and leave. ARGH!!!

1- Why should I freak out about him meeting the family? If they don't like him, they can kiss my a$$... if he doesn't like what they tell him, then he doesn't love me right?
2- How could I be any more embarrassed then I am already with him? I mean, hello, I get drunk and made a fool of myself the first time I ever met his brother. Second time, well me and him got into a HUGE fight over something really stupid....so tell me how I could get any more embarrassed then that?
3- I already warned him about the family....if he didn't believe what I was telling him, then it is his own fault!! :D
