Why should I have to take care of the child. You decided to have custody They get hit hard with reality when they go to court and then get slapped by the judges that tells him that 25% of his pay is going to the ex. Oh and they are going to take it out before he can even get his hands on it. And for the next 10-18 years. It is funny to see the stupid expression on thier faces because they never see it coming.
Get a lawyer and start the support payments right away. You may suffer now but you should see relief soon.

I'm having the support payments come right out of his checks. This is an option, who in their right mind wouldn't opt for this? Mine did not see it coming, not even sure if he knows about it yet. I'm guessing he does by now, b/c i received info in the mail from court already (we went, well I went and he didn't show up, on 12/21). I just never got that irate phone call saying 'how dare you ask for that much money?". Well, next time, come to court and you candefend yourself. No brainer, huh?

Reality is you don't walk away from your kid. And I actually am helping this guy. Instead of starzluv nagging him to death (I am not saying she is) he can now fess up to his obligations in the civilized manner of this wonderful society. Right? :)
Yeah, I don't condone child abandonment, even if I am a guy.

I imagine my STBXH will end up doing that, OR, he will claim he needs more time to find one... ::) I sure hope my lawyer bites that one in the butt... ;) My STBXH went to a lawyer "almost" got him, but then backed down... Can't afford it... :P
He must be pretty stupid to think he won't need a lawyer... :P (My stepmom is worried that is just waiting, and when I do, he will want to crawl back to avoid getting one...Not Likely Buddy!) ::)
