Yup. Not right now though. Like my therapist said to me: Anyone who would want you now [while you're dealing with your separation"> is not going to want you six months from now.
And I believe this is good advice for me. Now, that does not mean I can't make new friends and have fun, but it does mean that I have some things to take care of with me, regain my inner peace, and most importantly heal before I start thinking about a serious relationship again.
It will happen. At some point. For all of us. No matter how bad you've been hurt I just can't see that your heart will stay hard for the rest of your life.

Re: Let me ask ya'll this... bleedingheart: I too feel the same thing. My counsellor told me that i have to spend time with myself and learn to love myself in order to heal. I have to learn to move on and live my own life. To get over this i have to move on. Once i am happy about myself and my life, then i might be able to trust and love someone else again. Until then, I have to refrain from any serious relationships or else I'll get bit in the a$$ again.

I think the pace at which we reach that point with someone new just takes more time. IMHO it should take more time.
