and it has not been so hard as I thought it would. After seven years together, no contact should be rather difficult, especially considering I still love her very much.

Up until today, I have sent no emails, made no phone calls, no driving by her house, etc. It's all been going OK, until today for some reason I decided to go out to one of the popular dating services and create myself a free account so I could just browse the personal ads.

It didn't take me 15 minutes to narrow my search down to her profile. It was incredibly easy to find her. But, now it hurts again. The emotional pain is as though
it was brand new all over again. She posted pictures and REALLY looks good. Grew the hair out a little bit, dyed it more blond than it usually is, and APPEARS to have dropped 20 lbs. Pictures can be deceiving, but she sure looks good in the two that she posted.

It has been all I can do to NOT send her an email telling her I saw her profile/pictures, and how nice she looks, etc. My heart is begging me to send that
email. But if I do, I already know that she will not respond to it, and I will have broken the "no contact" rule, thus giving her back all the power. She will know that I am still not over her, and she can continue her hurtful, vengeful, bitter attitude towards me.

I've known all along that she has personal ads out there, but did not try to find any of them until today.

I feel like I am back at square one.

Re: found her personal ad on a dating service... sheydp: Oh sweetie... that hurts... and is so not good to do (looking her up)... Can you block her profile? You were taking such a good step, putting your profile up and recognizing the other wonderful people you can meet... even if you aren't ready to date or move on... but seeing her, knowing you can look at her, that is going to be hard to resist.... Block it, or delete the site.

Not sure of your specific situation, but you were on teh dating service setting up YOUR profile.. er.. uh.. free account.
Not judging you here, but is it OK for you to be cruising the internet for dates, and not OK for her to do the same thing?
I know it's gonna suck big time when my stbxw pastes her lovely face on a dating site.
I wish I could write her profile though.

Re: found her personal ad on a dating service... alonewith2: I remember when I found the STBX's profile. It sucked....all over again. I did contact him, and it made it worse. Try to restrain yourself as best you can. Save the information for a better time when it may come in handy....if that time never comes, then so be it....the better off you'll be anyway!
