Through my divorce, we had it written up that we would sell the house on a mutually agreed upon figure..

Have the locks been changed yet on the house? If not, walk your ass in there and get the rest of your stuff and some furniture...the house and it's contents are still legally half yours...

I don't know how you are not clawing her eyes out.
Re: it just keeps getting better poppy: shocked,

the only reason i'm not clawing her eyes out is because i am 210 miles away.  i will gladly do jail time in order to have the satisfaction of maiming them both.

i am going to e-mail my attorney.  on nove 29 i signed a form allowing him to have exclusive rights to the house.  i am not taking the hit for that.  at the time, he was going to refinance.  now he is going to sell.  i took everything i could, and since i signed that paperwork, i am not allowed to enter the house.

i am sooo angry i cannot get it all out.  he and she are such trash.  i married trash.

didn't you write a letter in unsent letters several months back saying that the other woman thinks she won the pot of gold, little does she know?

i am so MAD right now i can't see straight!

and now my house is for sale for less than market value.  now i'm going to have to take a loss on it.  i nevver agreeed to that.  it was appraised a second time last month.  how can he put it up for sale w/o my consent and make me take a loss on it?  i would have kept the f-cking house if i had known that,

Poppy - oh i feel for you so bad!!! He is such a jerk! I am a realtor so if your name is on the deed then he can sell it and make anything final until your signature is there as well. Do not sign anything! If you are worried about your lawyer drop him and get another. You might even want to ask a real estate attorney about the laws in your state. Do not back down, I would do everything you can to get what you need to get from what is rightfully yours from the marriage.
I will be thinking of you, if you need to talk PM me.

Re: it just keeps getting better poppy: hurtnlost,

then why would the realtor have put the house up without my consent?  i have learned to not underestimate him, and it has crossed my mind that perhaps she is posing as me.  wouldn't there be some type of due dilligence on the part of the realty company to confirm that both parties consent, if, in fact, the girlfriend is not pretending she is me?

i sent my attorney an e-mail and the MLS listing.  I'm sure that he will fire away a letter to my husband's attorney if there is anything amiss.

i have had complete confidence in him until the patent thing came up.  i don't know why he didn't catch that before.  i think he is sharp, i never have problems getting information from him and he goes above and beyond in getting things to me in a timely manner.  i don't think that he is blowing sunshine up my ass.  but, the settlement could be large, so i don't know if we are racking up legal fees willy nilly at this point.  my bills are never itemized.

you've been on my mind, too, sweetie- i got your PM!  we'll talk.

snk- at this point, i will NOT back down.
Re: it just keeps getting better shockedandamazed: Poppy - Have you thought about going to do a free consultation with another lawyer just to see or for peace of mind? I know this does not compare, but when I was 18, I was in a serious car accident and was suing the other driver...my lawyer at that time sat on my case for 6 months and did not advise me on certain aspects. I sought out a younger, more eager lawyer and my case was settled in 2 months...the other lawyer was peeved off at me for going another route....

Just a suggestion..
