Re: "Dating Yourself" shockedandamazed: Beahive - I actually went to a movie all by myself on the day the ex dropped the d-bomb..I didn't want to be in the house that evening, so I went to a movie...by myself...had always been scared to do this, but was so completely numb I didn't care at that point..
It was a Saturday night and it was The Skeleton Key (dumb movie, but it wasted two hours of my time)...I wasn't the only one alone in the movie theater...it felt great..
Now, if I could just get the eating alone thing accomplished, have never done it...easier to eat alone while watching Will and Grace!

Re: "Dating Yourself" BambiC: Maybe you could take baby steps into dating yourself...take yourself to Starbucks or a cafe first. Take a good book...have you read The DaVinci Code? It's very popular and very controversial. At the least it would probably be a good conversation starter since it's likely that the girl has at least heard of it if she hasn't read it herself.
Do let us know how it goes...I hate going places by myself!! I love my own company...I just prefer it in the privacy of my home ;D

hmmmm. I never have to PRETEND to read.....LOL in fact...before I found OJar....you'd never find me without my nose stuck in a book....if I brought a book to the restaraunt....I wouldn't even notice they brought me food, never mind the very handsome man pretending to eat..... ;)
