He wants a "break" JillianAnn143: Hello, any advice anyone could give would be appreciated. My boyfriend and I started dating when I was 16 and he was 17, in high school. We were together for 2 1/2 years, he was my first serious my boyfriend and my first real love. After the 2 1/2 years, he broke up with me. It ended up being over another girl and because we fought so much. I was completely broken, I was 18 and I thought my world was over. Anyhow I tried to move on, I had a rebound guy and then another boyfirend, we ended up being broke up for a year and a half during which we still seen each other. Towards the end of the break up we stopped talking for a couple of months while he was seeing a girl that he was pretty serious about. Then one day he came into my work to see me and we got back together.
I love him so much and he told me that he couldn't live without me and that he wanted to marry me. We have b een back together for 3 years (so 7 years since we originally started dating) and we've been living together for the past two years. We had kind of a rough year with some unneccesary fights and I have been getting frustrated with the marriage issue. I am 23 years old. I know I am young and I don't want to get married for a couple more years, all I wanted from him is to be engaged or some kind of promise. About a week and a half ago, I brought it up and it sparked a fight, saying he is not ready for that. Then the next day he said he needs a break. He says he loves me more than anything but he just has issues in his head that he needs to work out. For my own reasons, I honestly dont think he's cheating on me. He told me he wants time to miss me. It is so hard not to call him though...I am having an emotional break down. I have been staying at my parents house and I am freaking out. There is more to it but that is a start....
Re: He wants a "break" JNA: Well I don't know the whole story but it sounds like he is just a little afraid of commitment and feels if he says he needs a break and comes back then it will make the subject go away...
But then again as said I don't know the whole story and by no means have all the answers...
