Sex vs intimacy snkpack5: It seems to me like people have trouble separating sexual intercourse from intimacy. Is there anyone else who feels as I do that sex and intimacy can be two entirely separate acts and that you can have one without the other? Or do the majority of ojarians truly believe that they are intrinsically linked acts?
Re: Sex vs intimacy yella: I think there is a difference. Like the whole casual vs. relationship thing.
You can have casual sex and not be intimate, and you can be intimate without having sex.
Some people get them confused, and it might be all in how someone views intimacy.
To me, it's getting closer to someone emotionally, while getting closer physically.
Or, when not having sex, just getting closer emotionally.
I believe intimacy is more of an emotional thing.

Re: Sex vs intimacy alonewith2: I agree...and want to add that I'd rather have the intimacy than the sex.
