Re: Nothing will be the same again seyfert: Maybe its  not suppose to be the same.  Maybe it can be good and wonderful, just different.  Expecting it to be the same, may lead to frustration.
Re: Nothing will be the same again sheydp: I agree with Seyfert...  The innocence and newness are beautiful - don't lose those memories... But there is a beauty in working through things... In having misunderstandings and fights and even meanness, and knowing you can still be together.  That your love is stronger than a fairytale newness can ever be.  Your love is more mature, more real, and based on the fullness of the human experience, good and bad, beautiful and ugly... and survived.  Congratulations....

Re: Nothing will be the same again Bea: You know how they say we never bathe in the same river? Such is life, you're never going to live the same things and you may think you've lost something from what you had in the past, but don't look at it that way. Now you have a wonderful chance to rebuild your relationship, a new beginning, a chance most of us just don't have no matter how much we want to turn back time. Don't think about the scars, don't think about the pain, just try to learn from them, see how things can change for the better now. Good luck!

I also believe it takes a strong person to look beyond those scars, especially when they are still painful...

Could I rebuild my relationship with my STBXH? I don't know...

Good luck... PS. How long were you apart?
