Night dreams...About ex things.... Jesy Ransier: How many people besides myself, have dreams almost nightly about the ex, and them being with someone else. In my dreams, it's always with someone I know, and I am forced to watch them spend time together... It is driving me crazy, life is starting too look good for me now, I spend less time thinking about the ex, and more time thinking about other things... During the day, I seem to be fine.. At night however, I am sucked right back there.... It is getting to the point, I no longer look forward to sleeping... I have tried all sorts of things... Anyone else out there in my boat, or am I the lone sailor?? Thanks, Jesy.....
Re: Night dreams...About ex things.... dgiirl: i had horrible dreams too. Actually, i dreamt that he was still at home and I was asleep and the divorce was only a nightmare. Then when I really woke up, i realized that my life really WAS the nightmare. It was horrible. Lasted a few months too. Eventually I stopped remembering my dreams, but I woke up with dread every morning for another few months, as if I was still having bad dreams, i just couldnt remember them. I had to refocus my thoughts every morning into a positive feeling. It took some time, but it eventually worked. 12 months later, I dont have those dreams anymore. Just try to refocus everytime you wake up to something positive in your life.

I wonder why I can be fine during the day and have such icky dreams at night.... maybe I am just processing during the night what my mind does not let me think of during the day... Who knows... Re: Night dreams...About ex things.... sosad05: I have dreams about my ex too. Usually, were getting along and happy. I usually feel relieved in the dream. Then, I wake up. Reality hits. Were not together anymore. I'm DIVORCED. I'm divorced but it still feels like my husband. My husband is living with another woman. The reality is that he's not mine anymore though. Hes hers now. I have to learn to accept that.
Re: Night dreams...About ex things.... Mooneyes: Me I do.. well when I sleep at least. I have dreams with my ex in them. At least it's better than a few months ago.. they were all nightmares then, and constantly in them being reminded that he has a girlfriend. At least now if i kiss someone I don't feel guilty (in the dream)... and although he is in the dream.. he isnt' my lover.... but he is him..
this is just the thing i was going to post about earlier. I'm not sure if i'm better off getting to sleep with the dreams/nightmares or no sleep.. but right now i'm working with 4 real nights of sleep this year.. and the accompanying dreams.
so.. well at least you aren't alone.
