I don't think we can give you a magic number that will work for you....it's something the two of you need to decide. I think you should definitely talk atleast once a week (whether over the phone or in person or email). Then you should atleast have two dates a month where you go out and enjoy yourself with your daughter. A family outing so to speak. Then atleast one date for the two of you to enjoy each other alone.
Those are just suggestion. It really depends on what works for the two of you and what the issues are that you are trying to deal with.
