Woke up from a dream this morning Irony: Damn!
I woke up from a dream this morning..
Was sitting at the table with my stbxw and my son. Tomorrow was some kind of holiday and her family was coming up from Georgia to stay at her place and have dinner at my house, since there was more room.. The first thing I remember her saying was that she was that she didn't expect me to pay for any of the food, since I'd be paying for the utilities.
I then asked her if my son and I were invited. She said "no, you're not invited."
I remember getting really angry and hurt and storming out of the dining room and throwing things around and banging doors, furniture and other things.. Her daughter appeared in the hallway of the house I grew up in (it's a dream, deal with it, ok, just for a minute?) and I said to her, "A_____ can you believe that, your grandparents, and aunts and uncles and cousins are coming up and M__ and I aren't even invited to our own house. I want to see them and feel left out"
I woke up and had to walk around the house for about 5 minutes just to get my bearings and let the anger and hurt subside.
Weird:
on the one had I felt lonely and hurt.
On the other hand, I felt kind of.. uh.. not relieved, necessarily, but..I don't know how I felt. During the whole dream I was playing over in my mind the words of the last email she sent me.. sarcastic, angry, cold, accusatory.
I think I might just have a good day today.

i know what your saying. those dreams sux big black dog rockets. it suxs when you wake up all sweaty not knowing what to do. why did i dream that?
it sure rots, but they go away. the last dream i had, was i had my hand stuck up an elephants azz................
dont laught, i was pulling the ex out. lol..

After wife #1 died, D_____ comes along and tells me how I'mn the love of her life and makes me feel all warm and tingly in just the right soul spots and sells me a dream.
Butr I guess, like lots of salesmen, the dream you're sold doesn't match the actual product you get, leaving you with a deep longing for what the heck it was you really wanted in the first place.
BTW, was that an african elephant or an indian elephant?
Re: Woke up from a dream this morning PiscesGoddess: Wow Ironman.. funny how sometimes we work out anger and frustration through our dreams huh? ::) Also the dream was not painting her in some "glowing" light..as you can do when you are down..It was showing the person she has become..Someone that is shutting you and you're son out of her life.
I think you are doing great..baby steps my friend..baby steps..
as for dreaming about the house you grew up in? The late comedian Mitch Hedburg had a skit about dreams where he said something along the lines of.. "When I sleep..I just want to go to sleep..I dont want to be building a go-kart with my ex landlord..." LOL I dont know..guess you would have to hear it..you never know what from our past is going to make it out of our subconcious into our dreams.
I think you are making great strides in working these issues out..and this dream IMO was/could be a breakthrough..as frustrating as the things in the dream were..I see it as a way of working out you're issues with her..as you said you think you're gonna have a good day.. ;)

Oh Great Godess.. thank you for your kind words.
I know she is not "The One™" for me, and that this must have been some wild experiment to make me learn some HUGE life lesson.
(and get a little nookie with a beautiful woman in the process)
Seriously though, it saddens me more than anything else, to know she's this angry, cold, bitter, self-loathing woman, and that I fell for the package and the dream.
Shallow is as shallow does I guess. :-\
