There is nothing worse to see such utter disappointment in your child's eyes as a direcit result of the other parent.
I would rather have spiders crawl all over me than to see my sweet girl confused and disappointed.
The best thing you can do is validate your child's feelings.
I use to cover in the beginning now, I let it all out in the open and it is so much better. She is starting to catch on and is drawing her own line in the sand when it comes to his empty promises. She is only 3!
