Great point! I was feeling a little lonely and sad last night when I got in bed thinking about Valentine's Day of past. Those feeling left me this morning when I drove my mom to the airport and she gave me an awesome v-day gift and card. Then when I got to work, my boss gave me flowers and had picked up Starbucks for me! So all in all, this day isn't so bad. Actually, it's been better than most lately and it's only half way over! :)

Re: happy valentines day sosad05: Happy Valentines day to everyone! I am actually in good spirits today. I had valentine donuts for my children this morning and cute little gifts. Tonight, XH takes the kids for a few hours while I am going out with the man I've been dating to a nice dinner.

Last year at this time...I was sitting in a hotel room alone in New Orleans interviewing for jobs deciding what to do with my life knowing I was slowly dying by staying with him. Going through the motions but knowing it wasnt real to me. Knowing a part of me still loved him but that he had destroyed almost every piece of self esteem and self dignity I had left. I had to decide...save what he wanted to do with me...or save myself. I chose myself.
