I hate house-hunting enough when I'm doing it for myself...and now my ex has asked me if I would be willing to TOUR A PROPERTY on his behalf. (Before you ask: The answer was 'no.' I did a drive-by for one property that was on my way home -- to determine whether the neighborhood looked scary or the house looked falling-apart or what -- and that was pushing it.)
This is after he moved to another state, got married, went broke and wants to come running back here with his new family. We get along well, might even hang out once in awhile when he gets back...but MY LIFE is MY LIFE. I established roots in this city -- and it's MY CITY, dammit. I can't stop him from living here, but I'm not going to help him, either.
He has friends here other than me who could do this. I AM NOT the best judge of what would make a "good" house for him. I don't want to be touring a new place, going, "oh, that old wine cabinet he got in the divorce would look good over there" blah blah blah (I have a VERY HIGH tolerance for weird, but this is pushing it).
