Crock Pot Help Chey: Ok! I've asked Dj already and he gave me some awesome links...but I'm dying here. I work very long hours, and just got a new crock pot. Do I need to do anything with it before I use it?
Anyone got any great recipes for me?
Thanks guys :)

Re: Crock Pot Help Phyxius: Rinse it out - then have at it!
Re: Crock Pot Help Chey: Really? That easy? Sweet! :D
Re: Crock Pot Help alonewith2: I'm not really that ambitious to get up early and prepare a meal from scratch....even if it's for the crock pot. I shop the freezer section where someone already did the work for me! Then I just have to open bag, put in crock pot, add water, set timer, and voila....my work is done! LOL
Re: Crock Pot Help jen: You can do just about anything in the crockpot... :D
Put a whole chicken or roast in with veggies - onions, carrots, celery (or anything really) with seasonings. Stew meat and veggies make a very easy beef stew.
Add maybe 1/2 cup of water and then cook on low all day long.
Other ideas:
You can use a packet of onion soup mix as seasoning for pot roast.
Chili and curry are both great in the crock pot, too!
Happy cooking!
