I haven't seen the movie but I will here one of these days.

You said he was searching for his purpose in his life???  Guess he found it...

He became a hot lunch for the grizzlies.

I know this was sort of a joke, but it's actually kind of true.  There was a lot that came from his death, a lot was revealed about human nature through this film and really, not too much that came from his 13 years of research, imo.
Re: Grizzly Man Horseface: I will watch it and then let you know..

However I do wonder why people were so surprised by the attack.  It was only a matter of time before it happened - they are wild animals.  Why did he think that he was immune simply because in his mind, he wasn't going to hurt them?

Its a mentality that I do not undestand and that is a polite way to phrase it.

This is one of the things herzog focuses on in his documentary.  I think you may just come away from the film with answers to your questions.
Re: Grizzly Man JNA: Haven't seen the movie but want too...

I would guess because he had this big "void" as a kid somehow and like Blazin said he was mental in some way or another...

Interesting

JNA

Thanks Blazin...
