Freedom party? N U M B: Have any of your friends thrown you a "Thank God She's Finally Divorced Party"? One of my girlfriends suggested it... Granted, we haven't filed yet but it's something little that I can look forward to.

Re: Freedom party? bluskygrl: Mine isn't final yet either, but I think I am still recovering from the pre-thank God party last weekend. My friends say they have more planned....to Nevada...I think I'll get a new bottle of aspirin.
I think the actual day will hit me pretty hard but one day I hope I can look back and realize every day since I can say it was for the best.

Re: Freedom party? LostTeacher: my friend wanted to throw herself an "i'm divorced" social.....sort of like a wedding social, but focusing on singles, and showing off your new fabulous self. she told me we should throw one together. i actually considered it!!

Re: Freedom party? IlliniGirl: I went out with some friends for dinner.....but not the night the divorce was final.....I was too emotional that day.
Then my birthday was 12 days later, so we partied hard, and I had my first post divorce sex that night......with someone other than my EX!!! It was a Happy Birthday to ME!
