A General Theory of Love, Thomas Lewis-amazing book rogshuster: My wife (ex) is an alchohalic. I caught her with another guy in a car after her AA meeting. She has been gone for 6 months. The extent of my sadness has really been beyond words.
This book is incredible. It puts science and logic (sort of) and comes up with an "explanation" of why as humans this type of seperation can be so devestating emothinally. The awaeness I have gained about myself has been invaluable in trying to cope with this.
This book is written by 3 doctors. It is not Dr. Phil easy read self help stuff. It is a very difficlut book to read and fully grasp.
If you are in so much pain that no one can really fathom-buy this book. Read it slow and dont give up on it
