It is totally normal to take a step backwards here and there. My divorce has been over for almost 2 years (WOW....didn't realize it til now) and I am in a GREAT relationship, but there are still times that I think about what could have been with my ex, and I get really down about it. That doesn't mean that I love my boyfriend any less or that I am not totally happy with him......it just means that there is a part of my life that I wasn't ready for it to be over. That's all. You will come back up and things will slowly return to normal. You will get back to yourself and start feeling like you have the last couple months until this.

Re: in a rut sosad05: Hi, I too am in your boat. I can go several days feeling great than something happens and Im depressed and down. I wonder if it ever goes away. Although, I think as a divorced person I have less depressed days than I did when I was married. I definitely had more down days when I was married. I think back to that when I start to get down. We will all get through this together! :)

Don't worry, emotions work like that...one minute you are on top and feel like you have it whipped then the next you are down in the dumps..
I try to stay in the middle..I have learned that it takes a long time till you get to where this doesn't affect you to the point that it takse over and depresses you....It is a time thing...so don't try to kid yourself that it will happen with a snap...it will be more than likely just slowly fade....like a bruise..nothing you can do except just keep trying to accept it's over....and let time do the rest....I am sorry if this doesn't help....but maybe it will..
but there is nothing wrong with you girl...hell a rose thorn hurts when you get pricked and it stays sore till it heals...and you my friend are healing and growing.... :)
