What can I say? My friend L was right on- she said, "So he admitted everything you already knew. What difference does that make?" Always very pragmatic, that woman...
Had a few too many, hopped a few bars, managed to avoid karaoke, despite the protests.... Got the "Nicole Kidman" comment from a total stranger... his friend said, "Nah, I'm going with Mollie Ringwald." Hmm, Molly Ringwald, that would be a first. At least a dozen for Nicole... but this one said it was the nose, he's all wrong... The one thing I can say definitively is that it is NOT the nose...
Anyhow, dodged a hotel invite (am I crazy? I'm actually CHOOSING John the Construction Man now??), had some spectacular swing dances with a guy who was enthralled with my politics (among other things, no doubt), and made the smart choice of leaving the last drink they bought sitting on the bar and walking out with my friends.
All in all, I would rate the night a general success. Mission accomplished. Finito. Finished. No more.... On more front than one.
Now, if I can manage to dodge Mr. Molly Ringwald's bachelor party invitation tomorrow night (tonight?), I should be all set. ;)

Re:D@mn, I was having such a good night, too.... Spectrum: Well, BP, its just that while I don't think I particularly resemble Nicole Kidman, I can say without question that I look absolutely nothing like Molly Ringwald.....
Oh yeah, and there is that tiny problem with MR's career taking a nose dive after approx. 1989 and the fact that NK's has been going strong ever since Days of Thunder, LOL. Hmm, and the Best Actress award is a bit of a crowbar separation between the two.
For reference to MR's career status, please refer to 1st season South Park episode where Ike is kidnapped by aliens, Re: David Caruso, ROFL-TITU.
On the other hand, MR does show quite a bit of talent with handling her lipstick..... And that is something that we ALL should obviously aspire to!
