Divorce is never ending ChrisJane: Okay. My attorney just called. " Why am I not at the court house?" Lets back up I had called his office 4 times last week and he was never in nor called me back. His assistant indicated this hearing was for the EX.
The final papers stated: The DEFENDANT is required to appear in Court 4-5-04 at 10:00 to show just cause why he should not be held in contempt for failing to appear at said hearings and parenting class.
I inquired if I had to be there because I've only been in this job for two weeks and I hated to ask for time off already. No one said YES you have to be there.
Guess the ASSUME saying nipped me in the hiney! here I thought the final papers would be my happy ending. how long can he drag this out. They give him 3 chances to appear on these contempt charges. Then what????
Sure didn't take Brittney Spears this long to settler her divorce did it!

A warrant has been issued for my EX because he failed to show up today. He will be picked up and sit in jail until another court date is set. Hmmm, does this mean I can say I can't be there and continue the case and make him sit in jail and stew!!!! He's been able to put it off and mess with my life shouldn't I be able to do the same....hey, this would get him to sober up, be drug free so he can pass his drug test and go to work. He needs 30 days judge!
I'm sure I will be the biggest B in the world after this. I even told him last week when I went to his house that he had to appear today--not showing up would only hurt his case.....just as he failed to go to his parenting class over the weekend also....two strikes in 3 days!!!

Oh, for the record, Britney had an anullment, meaning they were "never married". You can only do that if you can confirm that the marriage was never consummated. lol. ya, right, Britney never had sex with him... sure.

Believe me kicking his butt feels good. yes 30 days is a long time but if it cleans him up and gives him time for THOUGHT it would be worth it.
I can feel the devilish side kicking in though...toy with his life for a while ;D
