Re: A question for the women among you BONILLAK: See to me this is a hard question because each person could find something else charming. I for one would find nothing my stbxh could do charming. I think the other person has to be willing to be won back because like I said there is nothing my ex could do or say that would make me want him back in my life and he was the one who left.

Someone who sweeps me off my feet. Who will do all it takes to win a piece of my heart.
I don't mind all the compliments and nice things to say. I say keep 'em coming. It's not everyday a guy does this for you.
But I think it all depends on the woman. Some women like charming, some women don't.
That's my advice though. Hope it helps.

@LivingANewLife: As this topic was meant to be as much of a survey as a question for advice, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me what you find charming, irrespective of what your stbxh could do to charm you...
Yes, I know that she will have to want to be won back, but maybe I can do some things to open her mind... at least I hope so. But in the time we lived together after the breakup I seemed to be able to charm her a little bit, you know like surprising her with her favourite meal when she would come home whereafter she would smile and give me a big hug, or preparing a game of chess and an episode of our favourite tv-show, spending the evening on the sofa where she would ask me to massage her neck or stay until she fell asleep.... Well, there are a few things that make me think not all hope is lost... But the complete lack of contact (despite her saying that she'd want me always to be in her life) since January 2nd is making me feel very down...
But as I said, I'd like to do some things to open her mind a little... among them to be as charming as I can...

That's hard sometiems I think of it as an innate trait.. you have it or you don't...other times I can see where it can be learend..
listening is charming
empathy...being able to see anothers point
confidence... was mentioned before, but not egocentric
sense of humor...being able to laugh, even at yourself
being able to help a gril out when she is in a ackward situation even if that means making yourself look foolish too
passion... having something you really beleive in
sensitivity to other living beings...elderly, children, animals
among a few ... hoep these help
