You are somewhat protected when e-mailing and texting and even (gasp!) writing letters. "Back in the day" before I got married, I had an amazing relationship with an acquaintance in England. We had a hot and heavy romance via the mail and e-mail, but in person it was extremely awkward and never really panned out.
Over text message, he's probably a pretty entertaining fantasy, but behind the phone, he's a real man with real hangups, quirks, mood-swings, opinions, etc. Don't get caught up in the fantasy, even though it can be very fun. Eventually reality will kick you in the teeth.

It's funny. He comes in my store and usually I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off. The girls say he never takes his eyes off me....then nothing.
Then the next thing you know, we're texting for 3 hours. I just don't know. he's a good catch...single, good job, owns his own home, nice car, financially stable and a devoted father. He's also stubborn, set in his ways and ornery as hell.
My friends say it would never be dull between us..... :P
