This moment is eternal,
Past, present and future, all happening now.
Peering through the veil of time
Clouds our perception and colors our vision.
This is laughter, this is tears,
This is joy, this is pain.
This is the first time we looked into each others eyes
and found hope and love,
Is also the last time we looked at each other
and found sadness and despair.
The first and last times we made love,
and all times in between existing at this very moment.
This is the moment we first pledged our love.
The moment you told me you wanted to stay,
Is the moment you said you wanted to leave.
We have always been here in this moment, forever.
We are our past, our present and our future.
Every hello has a good bye within.
We flow through timeless space,
Oblivious to the nature of time.
This part of the journey takes us on different paths,
we journey on our own for now, as we have forever.
You are a timeless gift, each of us being part of the other.
But for now, you are my past, existing today as always.
This is the first and last poem I've ever written for you.
This is every poem in between.
