Powdah Room 4/7 yella: Yeah, I'm a few hours early, but I heard this question on the radio on the way home, so I'm asking it now.
Two Parts:
How long does it take you to get over an ex? It doesn't have to be THE ex, but an ex.
What do you do to get over said ex?
Re: Powdah Room 4/7 EssieDotCom: Well it took me a few yrs to get over my first love. i know that sounds off but true. i had to move 3,000 miles away from my hometown to start to see what a user and jerk he is. but i still held love for him and i wanted more than anything for him to just change, for him to call me and a tell me he realizes how much he used me and how much I loved him and how sorry he was for doing all of that to me and not seeing the truth. But alas, as reality would have it, it never did happen. I met my husband and he did help me get over that hump. He showed me that I could be loved the ways I'd wanted to be. And now look at where I am with him :'( Good God I hate this! (sorry depressed right now)

I've only had 3 major break-ups in which I was completely crushed, and the first one I was only 15, so I stopped eating and cried (he cheated on me with 3 other girls and one was in my face), plus, I did a ton of drawing. Then there were 2 after the ex left. I handled those with a ton more anger and resentment. Those 3, I allowed my heart to totally open up for.
It's no wonder I'm gunshy now... ::) I'd rather hide my feelings behind something else than let them show.
