Decent men tend to avoid single mothers because of the ones out there that are rushing in and out of relationships, getting their children involved and trying to get married right away.
So those of us that just want a normal relationship have to hold ourselves back in order to keep from being mistaken for one of the women that falls in "Love" every single time they date someone.
Foul!

Re: Why single moms get a bad rap 2be: I am now involved with a single mom... she didn't scare me at all. In fact, I think single moms are great to date, because they know exactly what they want and are very cautious about whom they choose. So when this woman chose me, I felt honored.
