Drugs Anyone? achingallover: o.k., guys, oh, I just realized maybe this should be under another folder...ah, who cares...
So, I went to my doc yesterday and she gave me Celexa. It is HORRIBLE!!! I took it yesterday for the first time. Headache, dry mouth..and here's the kicker...sleepy but too agitated to sleep! WHATEVER!!! Plus, it really cut me off from my center - like my emotional center. Give me some feedback, guys - was it just like that because that was the first one I'd taken or what? Do the side effects get better with time? I hated this.

Re: Drugs Anyone? down2basics: What exactly was that prescribed for? I was given Wellbutrin for depression - also helps stop smoking (NOT!) but I have no idea what that drug is supposed to be for...
However, I can tell you if you are already having that kind of reaction - I'd be calling the doctor and letting her know!

Re: Drugs Anyone? achingallover: Yeh, it's not "new new" but newer than, like Paxil and Prozac. It's an antidepressant - an SSRI. But, usually, the deal is, the newer the drug, the lesser the side effects. It REALLY sucked. So you think I need to call her today and let her know?

Re: Drugs Anyone? justmenow: YES. Call your doctor! I had no side effects (except maybe the sleeplessness, but I have that anyway...) when I started Paxil, but they "ramp you up" on that one. Use this as a guideline for the future - if *anything* about your health concerns you, do NOT hesitate to call the doctor. This your life and it's precious.
