I'm talking more about those situations where one or both parties has explicitly said that the relationship would only be platonic and then one keeps pushing for more....using alcohol or whatever as an excuse. So you've never come on to a friend? Not even in a moment of weakness? Most of my relationships have started as platonic friendships. Maybe you need to redefine "friendship". Drunk dialer guy doesn't sound like a true friend.
