I knew the comment "someone must have found me attractive because I was married" would follow....your right they do.. er did..!? but I met her on a chatline! brains are first on a chat line looks are secondary on the chatline .. let me put it to you this way if there were no such thing as a chatline only online dating ..I believe I would NOT have been married! except for this.... I went bald @ 25 and about that time dating all but seized for me, ok ok stopped dead was more like it! so I went a couple of years without a date till I started to get so desperate I decided to do SOMETHING about it other than to just complain about it... what was the something... a wig! and a very expensive one at that!...dig this... about a week after I had that stupid thing on my head dating not only improved but I was dating hotter and more women than ever before! so say what you want, I heard all of the " I think bald men are hot " stuff before ,your very nice people to say that but let's face the facts in real time.. it just isn't enough when paired against a guy with hair which is what your forced to do in eight minute or online dating. one more thing on this... I should mention I'm 5' 6" this also effects it to some degree bald does look better on taller people imho. there is a fine line between pessimist and realist, you might say fine [ken"> my real name, why not go out and get another wig then my answer is this though it worked then the problem was I found the girls hot they were also very shallow [not lifetime partner material"> imho. so I decided just to leave it off once I passed my early 30's.. dating has all but siezed..ok ok stopped dead since :)< emoticon looks a bit like me lol lol
Re: 8 minute dating anyone? YellowJacket: ND, it does seem like a lot of women like bald guys. It's so common as a choice these days that I think it's much more natural than even 10 years ago.
My X cheated on me with a bald guy... he was also a satanist so her state of mind might not be the best to go by. ::)
Do you think maybe the success with the wig was brought about by your attitude? Perhaps you felt more attractive and that came across to the women you approached and drew them to you? Confidence is huge in the dating game, after all.
Maybe what you really need is just a few success stories strung together to make you feel great about your appearance. How you feel about yourself usually reveals itself to others and affects how they feel about you.

Re: 8 minute dating anyone? dgrrl: it's ALL in the attitude. We ALL have things we dont like about ourselves, but it shouldnt stop us from dating. I've got small boobs. Most men like big boobs. And the ones who just date a girl because of her boobs alone are very shallow. I consider myself very lucky to not have to deal with these shallow people as potential dating mates. It's just one layer of people I've weened out.
Maybe 10 years ago it was harder to be bald, but I doubt it cos i met my ex 10 years ago, and he was bald. Not even completely bald, but bald on top and some short hair on the sides. Personally, I think if you're forced to be bald, go completely bald. It's a lot hoter. But regardless of his looks, I was attracted to his confidence, his personality, his attitude about life. And thankfully he liked small boobs, so we were attracted to each other and got married.
I also have a lot of other hang ups about my appearance. I can look myself in the mirror and think i'm the most ugly thing in the world, or look at myself and see a very pretty girl. It depends on what I choose to focus on and what messages I tell myself. When I see the pretty girl in the mirror, I tend to attract more male attention. When I see the ugly girl, I tend to isolate myself and be more depressed. It's all in the attitude.
