Re: Parents of two or more...how on earth do you do it? alonewith2: Could have been, Jillie! I will give him some credit by saying he did it more times than I thought he would.  Plus he worked 3rd shift, so my shopping trips always coincided with his sleeping schedule.  Oh well!  ::)
Re: Parents of two or more...how on earth do you do it? jillieb44: As some one currently working 2nd AND 3rd shift back to back, I get this.  HOWEVER, I have my kids 2 out of 3 days when I'm supposed to be sleeping....

Re: Parents of two or more...how on earth do you do it? wendieann: Well, when I was 8+ months preg. caring a 1 yr old...that was interesting..  :P and very tiring...

Then when I was lugging a baby in a car seat, and caring my 1+ yr old, that was TOUGH! Esp. when my 1+ yr, didn't want to... Football hold worked wonders...

Now...my 10 month old in my arms, and usually dragging my 2 yr old... (football hold works, but he thrashs so much, I'm scared I'd injury someone...so, it just looks like I am yanking his arms out, by dragging him...)  :o People just smile, and I am trying to wrestle them into a cart...then pull a cart behind me just for the groceries...!!  ::)

It will only get more interesting as they get older!  ::)

I remember...I have 2 teenagers one year apart... here I go again!!  ;D
Re: Parents of two or more...how on earth do you do it? LettinGo: LOL Tara!  Sounds like fun ... ha ha.

It is hell shopping with my 3 yo twins.  The 9 yo tries to help (he really does) but it is still ... well ... hell.  I try to attempt all my big food shopping on the weekends that  XH has the kids, but thats twice per month so of course I still have to go in between.

The greatest was when we had just left the chinese buffet and stopped at Walmart: 9 yo threw up everywhere and 3 yo DS rammed the cart into a Gatorade display.  [color=blue"> Blue raspberry everywhere[/color"> .

Yup, I am going shopping tonight.  Lucky me.  ::)

Re: Parents of two or more...how on earth do you do it? WhiskeyGirl: LOL...oh yeah...shopping with kids can be FUN FUN FUN!  ::)

Actually mine are usually pretty good..... *cough*bribery*cough*  ;)

But I will NEVER forget one time when my youngest was just a newborn...and I had my others were 4 and 18 months......at the superstore! Oh yeah...18 month old (Shey) missed her nap  :o

I am traumatized by that day I tell ya!! LMAO Shey saw a "Blues Clues" bathing suit that she wanted something fierce....and lets just say I finally gave in to protect the sanity of other shoppers....and I NEVER give in! But that wasn't good enough she wanted to put it on right then and there and started screaming bloody murder when I wouldn't let her.....I finally distracted her with a nice package of about 500 tea lights....all was well until the dreaded check out!!

OMG! Newborn screaming to be nursed causing my white shirt to become quite soaked....4 yr old whining her face off and and 18 month old temper tantrum of atstonomical proportions! and...oh yeah....500 tea lights strewn across the store.

I wanted to dig myself a hole right then and there...seriously....traumatized!!

Anyway...like I say, normally mine are pretty good ;D

Make sure they don't miss naps :o LOL

And I find bribery works wonders ;)....I take mine shopping everywhere and they get to pick out something small from the dollar store if they behave :D

Another thing I do alot is go and buy them little helium ballons for about 2 bucks to keep them occupied.....don't hear a peep out of them :)

Oh wait.....yeah....just one tip...make sure the string is TIED on the buggy! Cuz you do here about it if it ends up on the ceiling ::)
