I was at the store yesterday morning and had to deal with 3 under 10's in a cart following me screaming at each other...their parents...throwing stuff...crying. Super fun! LOL

Nothing makes kids feel better then when they think they are being helpful.. make one in charge of carrying a certain item.. or coupons and have them match pictures to the items.. make on in charge of holding the money... sounds kinda silly but it may be worth a shot... it will keep them focused on something instead of finding other stuff to occupy their time.

I would have said, sure, let's get the pineapple, and let's cut it up as soon as we get home so we don't forget like last time...(I'm the queen of forgetting -- last week it was 2 cantaloupes that were practically fruit alcohol by the time my daughter discovered them and wanted them cut up, LOL) and that reminds me, I did buy a pineapple yesterday...

One kid is perfectly fine, but two?!!! I feel your pain. I go through it all the time, and sadly, I've had to cut back on my grocery shopping trips to every other week.
At first I started with having the stbx take our daughter so I could just go with my son to the store. Then he tired of that....so I switched to them having responsibilities etc while in the store. Now, however, I've resorted to using this new cart the store bought. It has two seats that buckle the kids in four different ways so they CAN NOT escape!
My shopping days are much more pleasant now.... ;D
