Mother's Day
.

Mother's Day bishop: With mother's day around the corner, I have a question.  My children live with their mother in another state and I was wanting to know if I should help the kids get something for their mom (my stbxw).

I am kinda torn because I do not want the kids to not do something for her - normally we did something together for her but this is the first year that we are apart for this occasion.

Because she left me, I want to leave it alone but then for the sake of the children I want to do something.

i was thinking maybe getting a restaurant gift certificate so that the kids could take mom to out to eat.

What do you think?
Re: Mother's Day Lumpy:   Do you have some visitation time before the 14th. If so you could take them out shopping. Ask them to pick out something for their Mom and either pick out or make a card for her.

Re: Mother's Day bishop: Good thought but they will be here with me for the summer starting on the 20th.  And they are 17 hours away (driving time)

That did make me think about shopping online together.  The older one can look online and maybe pick out something that I can order for their mother.
Re: Mother's Day bishop: Thank you - and I do love my kids.  I appreciate the thoughtful words.

Re: Mother's Day sparks: I think it is important for you to help you kids pick out something for their mother.  It only shows your kids what a good person you are and that they come first.  I do that with my kids.  I always take them to buy their dad birthday christmas and fathers day presents. They pick it out and I pay for it.  My 10 year old daughter has even thanked me for doing it.
