The Chronicles of Life Outside the Box alonewith2: My sister, A, came over yesterday, and my two little ones talked her into taking them home with her. So I had a free night. After some debate with myself, I finally decided to go out. I met up with my sister, T, and her husband, J, at the local bar. And guess who was there....G, my favorite bar owner!! (of course)
My sister had stated at the beginning of the night that she only wanted to have one drink and then go home. Of course, her husband didn't want to leave so early....so he wanted me to keep buying her drinks so that she would stay out. And I did....but only because I needed some time to get up the courage to talk to G. So it was in my best interest to keep her there as long as possible.
I did catch G looking my way a few times during the night...and when I went up to buy myself and T a drink, he said hi to me and asked how I was doing. An old friend of mine who I hadn't seen in forever was sitting next to him at the bar. So I chit chatted with him, too. I explained to them my dilemma with buying my sister's drinks all night to please J, but that I had only gone to the bar with $11 so it was starting to look like I wasn't going to get to stay out too long on my stolen free night away from the kids. So, G, offered to buy my next drink for me.
So after some time, I needed another drink. I had filled my sister in on the conversation with G and how he had offered to buy me a drink, but she wouldn't let me do it. She said that she'd buy me a drink since I had bought hers all night long. So I go up to the bar and order my drink, G sees me and say, "Oh, I've got to pay for her drink because I promised I would." I explained to him that my sister had already paid for it, but he insisted on getting me a token for a free drink.
I noticed that he was drinking Keystone Light...in a can no less...so I told him to keep his money so that he could buy himself a better beer next time. He tried to explain to me that Coors made both Coors Light (what I was drinking) and Keystone Light...so they were the same exact beer just in different containers. Of course I didn't believe this story and was doing my best to defend my favorite beer and how it could in no way be the exact same beer as Keystone Light.
During this conversation, he throws in the comment of, "so did your sister, A, tell you about an interesting phone call I recieved about you one night?" Needless to say, it took me by total surprise. I paused for a second in mid sentence wondering if I should pretend like I didn't hear him or if I should discuss Goose's phone call to him...and risk being totally embarrassed....

Re: The Chronicles of Life Outside the Box alonewith2: ...continued.
Since I'm such an honest-type person, I decided to go ahead and address that phone call...but I will admit to leaving out the "I think you're hot and I have a crush" part. Though, I know he wasn't buying it since he kept asking how Goose got his name...I told him that the phone call was not my idea. In fact, I had decided to NOT go to his bar anymore because of that phone call. He said that he was afraid that would happen, and figured as much when he hadn't seen me since that night. He went on to say that him and I have always gotten along great, and he re-mentioned the fact that he had a crush on me back in high school!!! ( ;D) I said that it was all cool between us and that I was happy he wasn't upset by the phone call...
Then the conversation switched back to the Coors Light vs Keystone Light and if in fact they were the exact same. So we did a taste test to prove it. Which I WON, btw...even if my sister switched the Keystone Light for her Miller Lite during the last round.... ::)
As the night went on, I noticed he started standing closer and closer to me...til he was actually so close to me we were touching. I didn't mind, it was a nice sort of hint on his part....so I didn't move...
Then it was time to leave...closing time and all sort of gets in the way, doesn't it?!! But he asked me what I was going to do when I left. I said that I was going home to catch up on the Yankees game to see if we won or not. So he asked if he could join me...
...to be continued. :P
Re: The Chronicles of Life Outside the Box 2be: Keystone IS brewed by Coors, btw... ;) Don't know if it's the exact same beer packaged differently but Coors DOES brew it.

Oh, well I know that, but I refused to believe that it was the same beer packaged differently. My findings of the taste test were that they both tasted the same, but Keystone Light has an aftertaste that Coors Light does not. Of course, he tried to say that was because he was drinking from a can whereas I was drinking from a bottle. Not sure, but still there was a slight difference in taste... ::)
Re: The Chronicles of Life Outside the Box alonewith2: ...continued.
He actually tried to insist that I was not a Yankees fan...because I guess he doen't know too many female sports enthusiasts. Then he tried to say that I just loved Jeter (How did he know?!! :o), but that I probably couldn't tell him any more players on the team... ::) PUHLEAZ!! Give me more credit than that!! Fortunately for me, my TV set was still on the YES network when we walked through the door...which was total proof in my favor!
After the game ends, we kiss. It was a nice sweet kiss. I loved it!! It's been so long since I was kissed. My stbx wasn't much of a kisser...So we continue kissing for awhile...and then we started watching a movie...and then he passed out!! But I guess it was late...so I just curled up on the couch with him and fell asleep myself. Another great feeling is to be cuddled on the couch. I missed that feeling, too. ;D
Unfortunately the rest was a disaster. At 10:30am, I feel him jump up off the couch and run upstairs...seems my sister was bringing my kids home. I met her at the door and tried to explain to her that I had company, but the kids had already scooted past me and ran upstairs...
Needless to say, I was dying of embarrassment (good thing we both passed out fully dressed), but I did have to answer some questions from my sister. And it seems G had some questions of his own to anwer from my son who found him upstairs. I believe the question was, "who are you and what are you doing in my house?"
Eventually G came back downstairs. He sat on the couch for a few minutes trying to take in my two kids, my sister and her 3 kids, and figure out what exactly was going on...finally he said he had to go and he left...
I did see him drive by a few times later today. He waved, I waved back...but now I'm totally at a loss as to what to do next. There was no "so you want to go out sometime" or exchange of phone numbers or any of that. Just him dodging kids as he ran out the door saying he had to go...
And I also will be out of town for a few days....so I finally get up the courage to talk to him, we get past the Goose's phone call ordeal, and everthing goes great up until the last part.
So what's the consensus here. Did I lose out? Will there be more opportunities? Do I wait for him to call me? I'm confused, embarrassed and at a loss here...please help!!! ???
