haunted broken_saint: i take pills to sleep cause i can't do it on my own. (tylenol PM) when i sleep i have dreams but they're memories of me and her. sometimes i think i'm waking up to her touching me, calling my name or even holding me. but when i wake up she's not there. the other day i swore i saw her sitting across the street from me that i had to get up and take a closer look. sometimes i swear that i see her car pass by but when i take a second look closer it's not her, it's not even her car. it's been about 2 months now and i've not heard her voice. it's like she's haunting me. i see her everywhere but she's no where.
i think i'm losing my mind. has anyone ever gone through this?
Re: haunted yella: Hi, from a fellow pill taker! I'm the Benedryl Queen! When we take this stuff, it can put us into a deeper, but sometimes shorter, sleep and our minds tend to be more active.
What you're going through is normal. You're greiving your relationship, much like someone would with a death and your mid will play little tricks on you until it starts to really process what's happened.
There are some things you can do to help. If you wake up in the middle of the night with these things going on, come here and post about it. You'll get your feelings out and see yourself handling it. If it happens during the day, try to post here, or write it out somewhere. Also, try not to associate the good memories with her for right now. If one pops in, replace it with something she did that hurt you. Now's the time to harden up the heart when it comes to her.
Once you get that down and you don't feel that ache each time to hear her name, see a picture, or a reminder, you can archive the good memories and start learning from it, but right now, you're right, you're being "haunted". This is the time when you should try to push the logic within yourself. If you need help, you can see a professional who can help you talk it out. Sometimes that helps too.
I know this sucks as I've been though it, and it takes work to get over it.
Keep posting like you have been, and you'll get through this.
Re: haunted tomuchpain: Yea just the other day I was out at some hotsprings and I saw this girl running ahead of me on the trail and it looked just like my wife. I was so happy for a second thinking about her and then reality set in.
These visions will continue to come especially when your heart still loves the other one so much. But with time they will go away.
