I Really Want To Start Dating Mazzalee: I really just want to get into the world and start dating. I've never actually dated before. Always been one long term relationship to another. Just always seemed to work out that way. I swear Connecticut just isn't the place to meet anyone. I go out with my girlfriends but all we do is hit the bar scene, and I really am notinterested in meeting anyone at a bar. You might find someone nice there, but the chances seem pretty slim. and the good looking, nice guys are all taken and married. I know I'm still young, 28 and counting, but I am starting to feel so old.
Please give me some advise on how to meet some great guys! where can I go?

But I know what ya mean about the sense of urgency,I'm 41 now thats friggin OLD! however my 30th b-day was the most traumatic for me much more so than 40 was!.. any btw way I too live in ct. and I think your right about trying to find guys in a bar.. yes there can be some good guys but in the bar scene however it is usually rare {I've been playing bars around here forever!"> I've said this to other members here I think a good place to find guy's is just through living your life the way it seems most natural to do so and I think the right operatunity will present itself I offer this advice keep your eyes open in the grocery store mall wherever! there are lots of nice guys here in ct the challenge is to find one, why not try online dating for a while...? if nothing else you can learn a lot about the opposite sex looking through the profiles lol if you believe half of em' take your time don't rush everything will be cool! heres aan after thought! try taking some night classes at a highschool it's a good place to find guys or girls..in ct we have a thing called "driver retraining" it's a class you have to take if you get 3 or more speeding tickets I have actually met some cool chicks in a few of those classes! it's good because if nothing else we have speeding in common! I love girls who speed!!!

call him an asswipe anyway! but seriously, I sort of envy you because I have become sooooooo jaded that I could get dumped 100x and still not give a crap ya I feel bad for about a minute and thirty seconds but after that I can't even remember their name {true"> and ct stinks for meeting either sex in my opinion, I don't know why that is? could it be "the grass is greener" or? have I become the over picky person I so often complain about? argh I'm going over to the prostitution post now...

This guy I fell for hard. He laid it all on thick, sucked me right in. Didn't help that he was so 'my type' and I thought him totally hot. Fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
As soon as I said I really liked him, he ran for the hills (only returning what he was already saying). You'd have thought I asked for a marriage proposal or something.
Anyway...still hurts. :(
