The Dance Irony: The Dance
Garth Brooks
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

Re: The Dance yella: This goes against everything Boston in me, but I love this song. My mom has this on CD and it's one of the ones I wanted her to burn for me a few years ago.
I can almost feel your tears through this post, Iron Man, and I can almost cry with you.
I kinda like Garth Brooks, but you didn't see me admit that!
Re: The Dance Irony:
You're gonna be talking Bahhston with a Southern accent pretty soon Smiley.
Yeah, the song really gets to me.
Interesting that my stbxw introduced me to it before we got married...

Now that would be something to hear, huh?
I often wish that I could apply the words to this song to certain points of my life, but there are some dances that I wished I had sat out. Know what I mean?
