And he wonders why I worry about them!!!!! bluskygrl: ExH calls me today he has our daughter who became ill at school - he works for my dad very close to the school so he was able to go get her and take her back to my parents and then his apt until  I get off work.

He calls me an hour and half before I get off to tell me I should come now she is "feeling pretty bad and needs to be home"

(Okay - so we have established my house is home.)

Next I ask if she is running a fever "I don't know I don't have a thermometer"

So I ask is she cold - "yes" okay so give her some ibuprofen "I don't have any"  Tylenol? - "no"

Did you give her anything for her stomach I ask - "I'm not sure I have anything or what to give"

Is she taking popsicles or 7-up " I don't know haven't tried I don't have any"

Now I am a nurse and I HATE being away from my children as it is,  especially when sick I prefer to care for them- but come on this is the man who keeps telling me I keep him from his kids with unfounded concerns.

So I leave work as quick as I am able, pick up ibuprofen, stomach meds and some more 7-up and hand him a bottle of each and say you might want to get some of these things before you ever have them overnight!!!!

Oh and BTW he mentioned that I didn't send towels for them to swim with  and he only has a few and thanks for the sunscreen he needed to get some!!

I scoop up the girls and come on home and hug them tight!!

ARGGGH!!!

wait till your kid comes home with a black cheech, bump on head, etc..... i know kids will be kids, but this is purely a thing of "the lady that had her" not watching them, and lettting them go hog wild.......
