Who does this?!? ctrlaltdelete: A good friend of mine has been on Yahoo personals for a while. She gets a few "hits" a week (including the sick perverts who just want to hook up for sex). She's careful - e-mails the guys for a couple of weeks then talks on the phone. She's average looking, thin, funny, blonde, employed, etc. yet when she meets these guys... OMG - the stories she could tell. I keep telling her she should write a book and at least make some money off of these twits.
The latest one... she'd been talking to him on the phone for several weeks. They got along great, never asked to see a picture, etc. So they go to meet up in person - 1/2 hour into the date he leaves to "go to the bathroom" and never returns. Her sister, who was at the bar in the restaurant, reported that she saw him leave with another woman. WTF? She was devastated.
What a coward. If it's not working out on the date, be a man and say so. It's a lot less hurtful than to be ditched. I still ask myself - who DOES that?? What kind of person would do that to another person? It's just cruel.

At least the people who just want to hook up for sex are honest about it upfront, so she doesn't waste her time.

Though to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe he got an emergency call, and the other woman was actually a relative coming to take him. It was so urgent or disturbing that he did not have a chance to say he had to go......Probably not, but its worth a try.

Thats the most likely explanation. I dont think I would have the nerve to do that. I have been on some bad dates, but at least stuck it out til the end.
