Pastrami? hurtnconfused: I took out a thing of pastrami meat to thaw out and needs sliced. Any good recipes? Not too spicey please because it is for my kids.

Re: Pastrami? toolboy: I make my own pastrami, right out of the oven it doesn't last. Hot pastrami sandwiches are always good. Toasted rye bread (white will do) Swiss cheese, 1000 island dressing, should be good for the kids. Toast the bread with the cheese and then the pastrami, like a grilled ham & cheese.

Re: Pastrami? hurtnconfused: Thanks for the tip! I just boiled it tonight, will keep that in mind for the next time I make it. I have never made homemade pastrami for them yet until tonight. They enjoyed it.
