Appropriate behaviour for 1st date endings chaotic: I was reading NoDate's thread on his recent date, and he brought up a good point...one that I have struggled with now that I am dating again.
What is appropirate for a first date? And how do you know?
For instance, I have had:
dates that ended with me stopping the car in front of her house and dropping her off with a good night,
dates that ended with a hug.
dates that ended with a small kiss on the cheek at her front door,
dates that ended with a great kiss as I was walking out of her front door,
dates that ended with....well alot more than a kiss.
But in most cases, I have let the lady make the first move, mainly because I have NO IDEA of how to read body language and the situation. Yes I read the post on signals and body language, but it was of no help for a dense guy like me.
So any hints or tips would be nice. This might be a good time to discuss your ways of letting your date know what you want, or how to read your date. Especially for guys like me that are date illiterate.

I let them make the first move as well out of fear that she might think I'm a perv. or something..
please any expertise on this?? as I believe I am also as chaotic put it "date illiterate!

ALWAYS BE CONSISTENT in this respect, with whatever date and with whomever. Women love it when men are aggressive and they feel desired. If she feels like a tool or being used or is offended 'cuz you're treating her wrong, she's insecure and isn't the woman for you. Or is too self-centered and snotty to please herself with a man like yourself, my friend.

Re: Appropriate behaviour for 1st date endings helplessness: Personally, I think a kiss and hug is a nice ending, tongues allowed if thats your technique. It shows you've had a good time, shows affection and you can always tell something in a kiss for future encounters. There are too many unwanted pregancies and emotional hangups with sex for anything else, that I find hard to deal with
Unless, there's something else that you both want out of the evening of course. Only body language and actions can determine that ;D
