What a start to the week! Chey: So, wake up this morning and there's a parking ticket on the window of my rental car...darn.
Hear it's going to be about 40 degrees (C) with the humidity today with smog warnings...that's pretty hot for a big city.
Then on my way to returning the rental car...and wondering why the city seems more chaotic than usual...hear there's a public transit strike. No warning, everyone just woke up with no transit, so the streets are full of people walking, biking, skate boarding and roller blading. And I end up having to walk back to work from the car drop off.
However...it's a gorgeous morning, no-one's really getting angry with anyone, and I'm one of the lucky few who only had to walk 30 minutes. Some have had to walk 2 hours to get in (personally I'd stay home in that case).

Re: What a start to the week! YellowJacket: Sorry to hear about that, Chey. That has to be weird with all of the people walking to work. Hopefully they'll get it worked out soon. I believe NY had a transit strike for a few days.
It's a national holiday here in the US. It's Memorial Day. So, most Americans have today off. I'm working and it's strange to see all of the cars still in the apartment complex parking lot.

Well had some great news a few minutes ago...my current apartment has been rented out, which is awesome. I've been really worried about that since I was breaking my lease early.
So now I have a gorgeous apartment on the lakeshore to move to, and my current one is rented, so the landlord is happy, and I'm happy.
Unfortunately we all look like porn stars today, all hot and sweaty with nowhere to go.
