Memorial Day alonewith2: A family holiday and I'm without a family. Well, besides my two little ones. But there's no huge get togethers, no picnics, no boat rides on the lake...none of the things that I remember from my Memorial Day weekends when I was growing up.
So today I decided to make my own family. I invited myself over to my mom's house (she was at work), but I cooked out for her boyfriend who was there all by himself....and me, him, and the kids enjoyed an afternoon together.
Not as good as the kids would have liked it, since there weren't any kids for them to play with, but still better than sitting at home... ;)
