Alternatives to Summer Camps/Day Camps and summer programs fkunone: What other alternatives are there for Summer camps and daycare programs out there that aren't so hard on the wallet? Anybody have any ideas?
Re: Alternatives to Summer Camps/Day Camps and summer programs tara: Check with your local parks and community centers -- they usually have drop-in playtimes, or structured programs, that are much cheaper than private or even YMCA camps.
Re: Alternatives to Summer Camps/Day Camps and summer programs corkscrew: Do you know of any responsible teenager who is willing to watch your child? I did that for a period of about two weeks last summer and it worked out great. Course it was my daughter and she was 8, maybe not a great plan for a younger child.
